Ten Ton Hammer: First off, the 2Moons Closed Beta wrapped up in late March, why has it taken so long to get the game into the Open Beta phase? Is there a new release date planned for the game – perhaps an early or late autumn release instead?

Dave Perry: It’s a different kind of situation than we’ve been faced with before, where a game is in full development in another country, and released, and we are trying to catch up in the USA. It’s a first for me. The development team is moving fast and so we keep finding ourselves at forks in the road, do we wait and include all the latest features, or do we just go ahead and release. We decided to delay one more time and told the community they will have the Open Beta client by the end of July. We are standing by this, so the countdown has begun. We will do the same for Commercial release, we will look at what we want to add, then pick a date and stick to it.

Ten Ton Hammer: 2Moons has been a highly anticipated title for some time now, generating over 200,000 closed beta applicants. However, there’s been very little publicity being generated for the game lately? What’s the hesitation? Is the game taking longer to localize than was first estimated?

The 2Moons beta registration has passed 280,000, according to Perry.

Dave: We have passed 280,000 registrations so far without any money spent on marketing at all. It’s pretty funny as I come from the world of TV advertising etc. The PC MMORPG market is very mature; the gamers know what they want and how to find it. I’m not so sure that spamming them with endless adverts really would make a giant difference. They just care about the game and the experience. If they like it, they will invite their friends. That’s what I love about the free-to-play model is that they can play as long as they like without spending a dime. So the experience is just minutes away by digital download.

Ten Ton Hammer: At the end of the Closed Beta, it was mentioned that there are a large number of things that needed to be fixed; can you go into detail on what some of those items were?

Dave: Many of the things the gamers asked for were caused because the features were turned off during closed beta. (Mounts, customization etc.) In this next build they are turned on, and so I’m looking forward to the next survey we run.

Ten Ton Hammer: It’s no secret that 2Moons is being developed as a very, very mature game. I’ve taken a look at some of the in-game dialogue that users were going to create, and there’s some pretty coarse language throughout. Why did you choose to make a game that pushes the boundaries? What is there to gain from making such a brutal, harsh world?

2Moons is being developed as a very mature game, with adult language and violence.

Dave: The language in the game during Closed Beta was, admittedly, a bit over the 2moons. We had hired a writer and asked him to make the dialog edgy and very mature, He was like a kid in a candy shop as nobody had ever lifted the restrictions on him before. However, in our surveys players actually felt he had taken it just a bit too far, meaning that people started to feel like they were being mean to you, cursing all the time. So my Assistant Director, Rusel DeMaria – a very experienced game industry writer – has taken on the task of rewriting the dialog, toning it down somewhat, while still keeping a very adult style. It’s a lot of extra work (also explaining delays) but it’s what the surveys called for.

We still want to present a hardcore, uncensored world. In many MMORPGs, the world itself is dangerous and violent, but the characters all speak in very artificially polite ways, and even the bad guys really don’t talk like bad guys. In 2Moons, people talk rough, and don’t pull their punches. As I said, our players seem to appreciate this approach – to them it’s refreshing and honest.

Chapter 11: Severance

Fallen, not beaten, The Saint of blade waits. 2moons dil Struck down by Abaddon, he lies in a coma, ever plotting his revenge. Immediately recognizing the throne of the saint, Arra Neea knows this is not her final destination. No longer at his throne, there is 2moons dil nobody to decide the fate of those cut from the world. No longer are the dead sent to a realm of bliss or one of pain and no longer do 2moons dil they achieve rest. Instead they find chaotic motion within the ethereal walls of the stone she has struggled to destroy. Cendi releases Arra Neea’s body and reaches for Sylex, looking for comfort. Wrapping her arms around him, Sylex pulls her to stand. 2moons “We will destroy the stone Cendi, we will bring back those that we have lost.” Sylex says, as he brings her closer. 2moons dil

From behind them, out of the brush, comes a Segnale 2moons dil and before they have the time to react, she curses the ground they walk on. 2moons dil Cendi and Sylex try to move, but when they 2moons finally make a full step the pain hits them again. The Segnale raises her voice so that 2moons dil they may hear her, 2moons “Layden, his entire team, all dead. I have had enough of this. Feeling the curse slowly releasing, Sylex stops fighting and waits for the proper 2moons dil moment to strike back. Cendi also feels the curse subsiding and is already in chant with a fire spell. At what seemed like the same moment Sylex shouts to the heavens and stomps the ground knocking back the Segnale Queen as Cendi unleashes a ball of fire in her direction. 2moons Scorched from the fire and knocked back from the attacks the Segnale does not lose her footing. Standing farther away now she brandishes 2moons her whip, slaps it to the ground and raises her other hand towards them and curls her fingers motioning them towards her. 2moons dil

Sylex needs no more invitation than that and he rushes in on her. Fist after deadly fist 2moons dil he swings to no avail, the Segnale is much to fast for these attacks to be affective. Unleashing another blow Sylex feels the air 2moons dil grow warm and rolls backwards as a pillar of fire slams down from the heavens setting the Segnale ablaze. Almost as if the fire was an 2moons apparition and held no heat she turned towards Sylex and transforms into an evil looking winged creature. In an instant she had moved 2moons from in front of Sylex to behind him, back in front and then behind him again, all the while attacking him with her claws. 2moons dil In the aftermath, Sylex finds himself on the ground and open to attack. 2moons dil

The Segnale Queen wastes no time, and summons a great spear above her head and sweeps 2moons it down upon Sylex. At that moment Cendi bashes into the Queen, both rolling to the ground. Cendi, on top of her foe, swings her fist 2moons in on her face. Hits and misses come in equal numbers as she unleashes her violent rage. Suddenly Cendi feels her strength wash 2moons dil away and looses her ability to swing in on the woman. Looking into the eyes of the Segnale she sees the satisfaction. Reaching down 2moons Cendi feels the hand of Queen at her soft belly, nails dug inside to the knuckles. 2moons

Rolling the nearly lifeless body off her, the Queen rises and makes 2moons way for Sylex. Again, she summons a spear and brings it down upon him, this time placing it directly in his chest. At that moment 2moons she hears a voice from behind, “Hello Mother.” Turning to face the voice, the Queen feels a rush of energy around her as Cendi and Sylex, 2moons on the brink of death, are instantly healed. 2moons

The world goes black, the nothing, then a rush of bright colors, 2moons and Arra Neea finds herself back in her own body. Coughing she can hardly understand this turn of events. Why was she not thrust into 2moons the stone? Looking to her left she sees Sylex and Cendi within a 2moons dil Curse Field. She goes to get up but cannot. 2moons dil

Realizing she needs to heal herself she is to late and again, 2moons dil darkness, nothingness and then a rush of bright colors and she finds herself back at the throne. 2moons

The Saint of blades feels the stone tremble. Wherever it may be, it’s on the verge of shattering. 2moons Then he feels it calm again. Waiting, he wants to feel it gain, wants the stone to crack, and wants to be released upon the world.

In a stupor for but a moment, Arra Neea realizes what must be going on. For safe keeping she placed the stone within her breast. Upon departing the throne, her soul, bound for the stone, is being thrust back into her body. Instantly she knows what she must do. She readies herself for the next pull and she feels it come on. First darkness, then nothing, then a rush of bright colors and Arra Neea finds herself back in her body once more.

Coughing from the pain, she motions her hands and calls on a healing spell. Standing now, she sees a Segnale bring down a spear upon Sylex. Arra Neea reaches down for her whip, stretches a bit and says, “Hello Mother”. Calling on a spell to heal her friends she watches as her mother turns towards her.

Speechless the queen eyes Arra Neea. Unable to comprehend how this must be, she then hears movement from behind her as Sylex and Cendi begin their approach on her. Ready to turn to face the attack the queen hears Arra Neea call out. “No! This is my fight. Leave her to me. I will end this here and now.” Smiling the queen turns back to face Arra Neea, “So you think you are capable of fighting me alone daughter?

Again the stone trembles. The Saint can feel it. He yearns for it to break, again nothing, and the stone settles once more. One more time, he knows it, and can feel it, just one more time and he will be set free.

Arra Neea says nothing, stretches out her body in preparation and slaps her whip across the ground. The queen does the same and the two move in on each other. Both in a rage like never before, and both ready to die for their kill, they lock in battle while Cendi and Sylex are only able to watch.

Its appears that as player level increases the AI of enemy NPC’s will continue to get more aggressive and the “Bring a Friend” code will ensure high level zones would be extremely treacherous for 2moons hacks a solo player. As such will grouping be a requirement at upper levels or will players still have zones that will allow them to solo on their own?

I would have answered this question with a “yes” to the need to get into a party or guild to take on the really dangerous stuff. However our writer was just given a test character by the development team.

This character was over level 100 and he was able to kill a Dragon in the game, that has handed me my ass 2moons online money on many occasions. So now I’m starting to think that solo could be possible. I’m sure someone will find a way.

Hi folks, if there is something I love in this game is the PK system: not only it is possible to kill other players but also you get punished by it, meaning that not everyone can PK, only those who can level up despite the punishment.

Next I give some details on about Pking and also on its consequences (and how to mitigate them):

a)Set your return point to Parka Temple if you are level 60 or less (I am level 59 so I can talk about what happens next) so if you get pked and you are red, at least you’ll be able to kill some monster and lower your IP without being attacked by a swarm of PK killers (hyprocrites!!!)
b)In order to PK you need to select the target and with the ctrl key pressed use the skill button.
c)If you are a summoner use first your pet attack to keep the victim busy (ctrl+shift+q).
d)Use first your strongest attack, use the surprise effect.
e)If the guy is busy fighting other monster (specially a mob) it even better, he’ll get confused and may not realize you are attacking him and not the mob.
f) If he in a mob make sure you manage to select him otherwise he may use the mob to protect him from your skills.
g)If you get IP higher than 500 and you die you go to prison. You must wait there (logging off will not help!) until your IP lowers to 500. A possibility is to pay bail but it expensive (1kdil per IP).
h)Two ways of lowering your IP, the first is time (I believe it 3 IP every 5 minutes (CORRECTION, 3 IP every one minute)) or killing white or red monster (Im not sure but I believe sometimes it does not work, bug?). I’ve heard people talking about losing PVPs but I tested 5 times and it didn work.

i)If you are red you can use teleporters , buy from NPCs but you can still use parca temple comissioned quests (thus item a))
UPDATE! j)If someone kills you (pkill) while you are red you lose 15 IP points.
k)If someone kills your pet (pkill) while you are red you lose 9 IP points.

Chapter 7: The Son

Rushing towards the gate, more proud than he had ever been, Fellan was ready to put the castle behind him and train in the outer grounds. He was so exited he never saw the two guards walking up behind him, as the gate guards told him to halt. 2moons

“The Captain would like to see you,” Fellan hears from behind. 2moons

Turning to see the guards he asks, “What for?” 2moons

Grabbing him by the arms the two guards start pulling him forward as they say, “Just come with us.” Without a struggle, Fellan let the guards take him as they pulled, not wanting to disobey the Captain or his guards, after all, his father was once part of the military group.

Inside the barracks now, the guards stop short of entering the Captains room. Fellan turns to look at the guard with his arm under his left shoulder, “So what’s this all about?” 2moons dil

Not getting a reply or even a glance, Fellan looks to his right and says to the other guard,“You guys aren’t even going to talk to me?” 2moons dil

Just as he gets the words out, from behind the door in front of him he hears, 2moons dil “Bring him in.” The doors open from the inside and the guards at his arms start pulling him forward. Directly in front of him he 2moons sees his father, 12 feet behind his father sits the Captain, and to each side of the room their stands many guards. Confused by 2moons all this, Fellan looks to his father as the guards walk him past, “Father, what is going on?” 2moons

Seeing the surprised look on his fathers face, and getting no reply, Fellan begins to worry about this situation more than he had before, as he is brought up next to the Captain. From his side the Captain says, “You will get me that stone Sylex.” 2moons

Now from his father, “Let my son go, he has nothing to do with this.” 2moons

Then from the Captain, “You know what the stone is capable of? You will go get it for me Sylex.” “Captain, let my son go, I will retrieve the stone.” 2moons dil

Feeling the guard release his left hand, Fellan looks to see the Captain rise and take up that position and say, “You will get it for me, and just to be sure.” 2moons dil

At that moment, Fellan looked to his father for explanation, and then feels his head get pushed back. 2moons

One second held in place by force, the next feeling a release, 2moons dil Fellan steps back and watches his body fall to the ground as the 2moons room around him takes on a colorless appearance. For seconds, 2moons unable to understand what is going on, Fellan is in a daze, not noticing the commotion in the room as his father is rushed by the many 2moons dil guards from the left and the right. He can hear nothing, except a faint whooshing that sounded like wind, but had an eerie quality. 2moons As his eyes start to adjust to this new world of blacks, whites, and grays, Fellan sees the captain kneeling next to his father. 2moons dil Without thinking he takes a direct path towards them and walks right through the Captains desk. Looking down as it happens; Fellan throws 2moons his arms up and turns about as he comes out of the other side of the desk, still unable to get a grip on what is happening. 2moons Then seeing his body on the ground for a second time, Fellan realizes, like a hard slap to the face, he is dead. 2moons dil

Turning away from his body, Fellan sees the Captain just 2moons before walks through his new air-like form. Seeing his father being 2moons dil dragged from the room, Fellan turns around towards the Captain as 2moons dil he starts to yell out words that just don’t seem to come. Knowing his lips are moving yet hearing no sound, Fellan is 2moons dil angered more 2moons than ever. Again he tries to talk, again nothing except that of the faint circling wind sound comes. Moving for the Captain now, 2moons Fellan lashes out blow after mighty blow into and through his head.
2moons dil

Dropped to the ground outside the barracks, 2moons Sylex can do nothing but lie there, unbelieving what has just happened. The guards 2moons dil shout things at him but he can not hear them. Thinking of his son, and what he should have done, face in the dirt, Sylex feels rage pour over him. Never has the warrior felt such undeniable pain and regret. Then thoughts of his son pour over him in flashes as if Sylex was the one dieing and that of his son’s life was flashing before his eyes. — After the useless rage Fellan displayed against the Captain, he left the barracks in search of his father.

Finding him just outside of the barracks lying in the dirt, Fellan moves next to him. Seeing his father like this pains him so much and he begins to feel impossibly lighter than ever before. He sees his father pushing himself off the ground and standing to face the guards now repositioned in front of the barracks doors. Then watches as his father moves in on them and they come out to meet his attack. In a matter of seconds his father had put his fist so hard into one guard’s nose that his body was laying on the ground while the guard stood looking at Fellan. Then with a sideswipe his father put the side of his fist into the other guards head just as hard, but only knocking him to the ground, and never losing sight of his goal, he then went inside the barracks.

Trying to move to follow his father, Fellan found that he could no longer do so. He looked at his body and noticed it was fading away. For minutes he stood there, unable to do anything but watch the door and watch as the dead guard struggled with his new reality. Then the door burst open and out came his father, blood over his entire body, and carrying Fellan’s physical form. Fading more now, he watched as his father carried him away and out of site towards their home. Wondering what new surprises death would bring with this fading away of his self, Fellan sees a girl coming from the opposite direction that his father only just left. He knows this girl, he tries to speak her name, but no words would come. She walks up to the door of the barracks and looks at the guards at the foot of the door then turns and looks out from the barracks as she goes inside. She is beautiful and Fellan finds her face a fitting last sight of this fading world.

Blackness…..Nothingness…..Then red…..Then a rush of bright colors that fade away quickly and Fellan finds himself at the foot of an empty throne. For just a moment, a second at the most, Fellan looks about the throne and the blackness all around him, then again blackness and nothingness overcomes him and he awaits his next destination.

Separated from body, and now separated from airy body, Fellan just floats. Physical appearance gone, in fact there is no seeing. He hears wind. He hears the thoughts of the all the other spirits around him, next to him, and within him as they all dance in chaotic motion.

hey guys, i duno if 2moons is anything like dekaron in gameplay but from the youtube video sure looks like the exact copy for now 2moons .

im from south korea and ive been playing dekaron for over a year now and to answer Itachi101?s question on top. 2moons dil

To make things simple the game is um … sexist ? well the 3 male characters 2moons dil

Bagi, Knight, and summoner ~ are characters that are rejected pretty badly when it comes to deadfronts and party hunting when ur lvs go over 100 ~ maybe even from 80

Although bagi is pretty good in pk its still rejected during party plays 2moons dil
Knights are okay .. not that bad .. but still.. rejected badly 2moons dil
Summoners they look cool and will lv up the fastest to lv 60 thnx to their little pets ^ ^ but trust me … they are the … well. 2moons . they dont give good enough damage their armors suck and when it comes to deadfronts .. they pretty much suck.. when ur lv reaches over a 100.. its gonna be rough days 2moons dil 2moons dil

The other 3 female characters in the other hand .. is a whole diffrent story 2moons dil
Magicians are always needed for their dmg 2moons
Senegals are awesome(when u reach lv 59 and learn curse field u just carry a lv 12 2moons weapons because it dosnt change the curse field dmg whatever weapon u use and put the rest of the stats into life = which results in a character that just wont die) 2moons and plus WHEN U REACH HIGHER LVS U CANT PVM WITHOUT THEM!!!
hunter is what ill be playing ~ ^ ^ and they are scary when it comes 2moons dil ot pvp and is still well rounded enough with good dmg to be welcome in parties

think well before u choose characters ^ ^ and gluck have fun, i duno if this is gonan be similar to dekaron but if it is .. this will help .. trust me i have a lv 102 summoner 141 magi and a 99 Hunter ( i stopped the summoner cuz it became pathetic, like seriously) 2moons

especially for summoners ~ careful ^ ^ if u wanna play upto lv 100 just cuz it looks cool dosnt mean its good in the future 2moons dil
